Cornerstone took a quick 1-0 lead in the fifth minute when David Mutembezi (Brampton, Ontario) netted the first goal assisted by Diego Bobadilla (Holland, Mich.). Not even a minute later, Gareth Flynn (Elk Grove, Ill.) assisted by Bobadilla put a shot right passed Falcon goalie Yves Charles (Holbrook, Mass.) to take a 2-0 lead.
