Three-point performances by juniors Sarah Hamlin of Presentation College and Diego Serani of Fisher College have been rewarded with the Association of Independent Institutions' soccer player of the week award. This is the first time that each student-athlete has been recognized by the association.

Hamlin scored the game-winning goal and added an assist in Presentation's 2-1 victory against Waldorf. Her goal came on a free kick 23 yards from the goal line.

Meanwhile, Serani was responsible for a goal and an assist as Fisher split a pair of matches last week. The junior scored one of the team's five goals in matches against University of Maine at Machias and Dean College.
