Medford, Mass. -- The Fisher College Falcons improve to 4-6-1 while the Mount Ida College Mustangs drop to 8-4-1 on the season.  The fall match on Wednesday, October 11 was a great dual between goalies with the two teams each scoring one goal and remaining 1-1 after two overtimes.

The first half was dominant for the Falcons who put more pressure on the Mustang defense taking 13 shots compared to Mount Ida's 11.  Fisher scored in the 31st minute on a cross from Ilias Beriane to Robert Milne who pushed the ball passed the Mustang goaltender.  Heading into the break, the Falcons held on to their 1-0 lead.

After the break, the game got intense with both teams aggressively wanting to score.  Mount Ida won the battle in the second half scoring a goal in the 60th minute to tie the game at 1-1.  Time expired in regulation with the game still knotted at 1-1.

In the first overtime, the Mustangs' offense took control taking 4 shots while the Falcons were only able to get off 2 shots.  With an intense 10-minutes of overtime quickly coming to an end, the score remained 1-1.

A second 10-minute overtime was added to the clock.  Mount Ida again took control offensively taking 3 shots compared to the Falcons 1 shot, but neither team added a goal to the board.  Being a non-conference game, the teams ended the match with a 1-1 draw.

Junior goalie Eliseu DiPena took the draw in the net for the Falcons. In the two regulation halves and the two overtimes, DiPena made 18 saves only allowing one goal.  Riley Ford earned the draw for the Mustangs making 11 saves and allowing one goal.

Fisher College will have a little less than a week off before hitting the pitch again on Tuesday, October 17 when they play host to the University of Maine – Fort Kent at 6:00 p.m.
