Falcons Fall To The Washington Adventist Shock On The Road, 4-0

Takoma Park, MD- The Men's Soccer team fell to A.I.I. Conference foe, Washington Adventist (6-3) 4-0 Monday afternoon to wrap up a tough road trip for the Falcons (1-7-1). The Shock took advantage of the lack of rest for the Falcons as they were facing back-to-back games on the road and outshot the navy and white 14-1. Senior David Serrano (Val Verde, CA) was the only Falcon to get a shot off as the Shock controlled the ball most of the match.

Neither team could get much going in the first 15 minutes of the game with the Shock only having one shot, however Washington Adventist broke the 0-0 tie at 18:55 as Jose Paniagua beat Falcons keeper Christopher Garcia (Rowland Heights, CA) to make it 1-0.  Joel Bailey (Derrider, LA) replaced Garcia in goal in the 29th minute, but did not face a shot the rest of the half and the two teams went into halftime with the same score.  The second half the Shock broke it open just six minutes in as Daniel Moreira beat Bailey for a 2-0 lead.  Moreira assisted on the next Shock goal at the 73rd mark to Thiago Moreira to put the game out of reach, 3-0.  Luis Orjuela tacked on an insurance goal just three minutes later to give the Shock a 4-0 win.

Fisher will have the week off and host Pratt Institute on Homecoming Saturday, October 13th at 12pm at the Winsor School in Boston.
