Clermont, Fla. – The Falcons could not keep up with #2 St. Xavier Sunday afternoon as they took a 9-0 loss in their second game of day one in Clermont.  Fisher drops to 0-2 on the season while St. Xavier moves to 3-2. 

Fisher continued to struggle offensively, but was able to make some adjustments and hold the nationally ranked team to just nine runs.  

In the bottom half of the fourth inning, with a runner on second and nobody out, pitcher Mikayla Zimmerman recorded her second strike out of the season which was a timely out for the Falcons.

However, the Falcons could not produce enough offensively to keep up St. Xavier as they took a 9-0 lead in the bottom of the fifth inning which sealed the game.

The Falcons are back at it tomorrow as they take on Mt. Vernon Nazarene University at 8:00 a.m. in their second day of play at The Spring Games.
