Falcons End Spring Trip with 8-0 Loss

Clermont, FL – The Falcons ended their annual Florida trip with a loss to Trinity Christian College by the score of 8-0. This was the second game in three days played between these two, both won by Trinity Christian.

 

The Trolls were on the board first as they scored six runs in the bottom half of the first inning. An error early by Fisher helped spark the six-run rally by the Trolls.

 

The Falcons were unable to bounce back from their mistakes, as they managed three hits in the five innings.

 

Becky Collison, Kristina Brown, and Mikayla Zimmerman all had one hit each for the Falcons.

 

Fisher pitcher Taylor Rowley gave up all eight runs, but none of them were earned runs.

 

Both Collison and Brown were the lead hitters for the Falcons this week as they both had a batting average of .348. Senior Morgan Selmi hit for an average of .333 for the week.

 

Freshman Corrie Edstrom led the Falcons in RBI's (4) and slugging percentage (.556).

 

The Falcons head back home with a 0-10 record and have some time off before their next game. The team's next game is not until Monday, March 27 at home versus Pine Manor College.
