Softball Earns Two Victories over UMF

Bangor, Maine – UMaine Farmington fell to Fisher College by a score of 5-4 in the first game of the double head while falling in game two by a score of 5-2 in Bangor Maine on Boucher Field.

Game 1

Fisher College got on the board first in the top half of the first inning when Taylor Rowley grounded out to Amber Grady at second base while Morgan Selmi scored on the play.

In the top of the fourth, Fisher put two more runs on the board with Tatum Mahoney reaching first on an error that scored Mikayla Zimmerman. Later in the inning, Seimi singled to center scoring Rivera. Kiana Thompson threw Mahoney at the play as she was trying to score on the play.

Kristina Brown hit a two run shot to left field in the fifth inning to give Fisher the 5-0 lead going into the sixth when the Beavers were able to score two runs. Alyssa Dillan grounded out to short to score Alison Hamilton. Kylie Cunningham then singled to right field which scored Thompson on the play.  In the bottom of the seventh, Dillan reached first base on an error by the first baseman which scored Hamilton. Cunningham then singled to center field to score Thompson but the Beavers couldn't put one more run across the plate and fell 5-4.   

Game 2

In game two, the Beavers fell to Fisher by a score of 5-2. Morgan Seimi and Mikayla Zimmerman went 2-4 with an RBI and a total of three runs. Kristina Brown and Maria Rivera each had an RBI as well.

Margaret Fogarty went 2-4 with an RBI and a run while Bonnie-Jane Aiken went 1-3 with an RBI. Elizabeth Walker went 1-3 with a double. Kailyn Hill threw six strong innings, giving up 10 hits, five runs and four earned runs.
