Four Falcons Earn A.I.I. Post Season Awards

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Four women's softball players from Fisher College earned spots on the A.I.I. All Conference Teams.  The Falcons went 16-18 in the regular season earning them the #3 seed in the A.I.I. Conference Tournament and finishing as the #4 seed.  The 2017 campaign led by the four Falcons tripled the amount of wins from the 2016 season.  Senior Morgan Selmi and freshman Corrie Edstrom earned spots on the first team while junior Kristina Brown and junior Rebecca Collison earned spots on the second team.

After putting together an impressive junior season together with the No. 5 Georgia Gwinnett softball team, Niki Cook took home the top honors in the Association of Independent Institutions on Wednesday night as she was named the A.I.I.'s Player of the Year at the annual pre-tournament banquet on the campus of Georgia Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville, Ga.

A league-best nine GGC players were named to the All-A.I.I. First Team, including infielders Hailey Burnham, Brashante Dareus, and Elyssa Melton, catcher Sydney Willhite, designated player Anya Vandersip, and pitcher Chelsi Palazzo as well as Cook, Hansis, and Rossetti.
