Lady Falcons Clipped by Fitchburg State, 92-40

BOSTON, MA-Fisher College (0-13) lost at home versus Fitchburg State(7-6) by a score of 92-40. Fitchburg State started the game with 16 unanswered points fueled by an early six points by Amy Fahey. Fisher struggled at shooting, by shooting at a 25% field goal mark. Fitchburg State increased their lead to 30 points.

Fitchburg State coasted to a 26 point led at half with a score of 47-21. Junior Javanna Bernard (Waterbury, CT) led the Lady Falcons with eight points and four rebounds. Senior Porsha Grayson (Merced, CA) added in seven points for Fisher. Fitchburg State was lead by Amy Fahey with 13 points while Kristen Enright had six rebounds.

            Fitchburg State kept increasing their lead in the second half with the largest lead to 55 points. Javanna Bernard ended with a game-high 17 points while Porsha Grayson added 15 points and Freshman Shakieya Roland-Drake (Hyde Park, MA) also had a game-high five steals. Fitchburg State had five players in double digits for points while Tara Ingram registered a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

            The Lady Falcons will travel to Presque Isle, ME for the Star City Classic with the first game on January 12, 2013 at 8:00 pm against University of Maine-Presque Isle. Fitchburg State will play Framingham State at home on Saturday January 12, 2013 at 1:00 pm.
