Lady Falcons Drop Home Game versus Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, 74-44.

BOSTON, MASS-Fisher lost the early Friday night matchup against visiting Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences (ACPHS). The final score of the game was Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences with 74 points to Fisher's 44.

 

Fisher started off the game with five straight points to take an early advantage, but ACPHS went on a 22-2 offensive outburst to take a 22 to 7 lead. The Lady Falcons kept the increase in the deficit to two for the rest of the half.  ACPHS took a 36-19 lead into half over the Lady Falcons.

Fisher's Javanna Bernard (Jr., Waterbury, Conn.) led all players at half with 15 points. Senior Porsha Grayson (Merced, CA) had the team-high in both rebounds (six) and assists (two) at half time. ACPHS was led by Alexa Schooley who led her team in Points (10) as well as having a game-high seven rebounds and four assists. Megan Serley and Kelsey Johnson added in nine and eight points, respectfully for ACPHS. As a team, Fisher shot just over 21 percent from the field and 11 percent from the three-point area in the first half while Albany Pharmacy shot 38 percent from the field.

ACPHS started the second half increased their lead to 22 points within the first 12 minutes in the second half with a 20-15 offensive streak to bring the game to a score of 56-34.   The lead was then increased to 30 points with less than a minute left in the in the game.

Javanna Bernard finished the game with a game-high 23 points for the Lady Falcons. Other contributors for Fisher included Prosha Grayson who had eight points and a team-high nine rebounds while freshman Shakieya Roland-Drake had a game-high seven steals to go alone with six points. For ACPHS, Kelsey Johnson and Alexa Schooley tied for a team-high in points with 16 and a game-high six assist. Johnson added a game-high five blocks and 12 rebounds while Schooley had a game-high 14 rebounds and a team-high four steals.

The Lady Falcons will now travel to Vermont on Saturday January 19, 2013 to face off against St. Joseph's (VT) with a start time of 2:00 pm.
