Falcons fall to UMFK, 79-46

Fort Kent, Maine – The U-Maine-Fort Kent women's basketball team won their third straight game and improved to 14-9 overall In defeating NAIA D2 independent Fisher College 79-46 Saturday afternoon in Fort Kent, Maine.

Samantha Carapelluci (Fr. Fwd., Fort Kent, Maine) and Zsakiyah Brown (Jr. G., Uniondale, New York) led the Lady Bengals with 16 points each and Jenn Colpitts (Jr., G., Scarborough, Maine) added 15. Freshmen point guard Kayla Richards (Presque Isle, Maine) added 11 points and a team-high eight assists for UMFK who dished out a season-high 26 assists in the victory.

Fisher (0-20) was led by Javana Bernard who scored a game-high 28 points. UMFK built a 41-21 halftime lead and forced 25 FC turnovers in the win.
