Lady Falcons Fall to Lady Shock, 66-47

Takoma Park, MD- The Lady Falcons of Fisher College travelled to Maryland to face the Lady Shock of Washington Adventist for a Saturday night game.  

The Lady Shock was able to jump out to a 13 point lead at halftime over the Lady Falcons. The score at halftime was 33-20 in favor of Washington Adventist.  Washington Adventist's Courtney Cayard lead all scorers with 10 points at half while Fisher was lead by Freshman Breanne Brown (Ft. Washington, MD) and Senior Javana Bernard (Waterbury, CT) who had seven points apiece. The Lady Falcons shot only 22.9% in the first half compared to Washington Adventist's 36.1%.

Fisher tried to battle back in the second half but Washington Adventist pushed the lead by the end of the game to 19 points, with the final score being 66-47. The Falcons were lead by Bernard who had a team-high 20 points while Brown ended the game with a double-double by grabing 11 rebounds to go along with her 12 points. Washington Adventist's Cayard led all scorers with 24 points while Rashawnda Carter added in 10.

The Lady Falcons will travel to Farmington, ME to take part in the Dunkin' Donuts Tip-Off Tournament at the University of Maine at Farmington this weekend, November 16-17.
