MACHIAS, MAINE- The Lady Falcons traveled up north to Machias, Maine for a Saturday afternoon game against the University of Maine-Machias. The 1:00 pm tip-off between the two former conference opponents was one sided in favor of Fisher as they won 85-45.
The Lady Falcons held a 19 points at halftime. In the second half the Lady Falcons increase their led by outscoring Machias 41-20. The Lady Falcons were able to gain 27 points off of 26 turnovers by Machias while also gaining 16 2nd chance points compared to four for the home team.
Alexis Akridge (Freshman/ Union, NJ) led all scorers with a game high 28 points. Porsha Grayson (Senior/Merced, CA) gained a double-double when she scored 27 points and 18 rebounds. Christine Briggs (Sophomore, Rumford, ME) also had a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds while Javana Bernard (Senior/Waterbury, CT) was the fourth Lady Falcon with double digit points as she score 10 points.
Machias was led by Emma LeGallais who scored 18 points in the loss. Randi DeWitt also scored double digit points with 11 points. Caroline Proctor grabbed a team-high 17 rebounds including a game-high 11 offensive rebounds.
