Lady Falcons win large over Pratt, 74-32

BROOKLYN, NY-The Lady Falcons traveled to New York for Thursday night game versus Pratt Institute. The game was one sided as the Lady Falcons were able to win 74-32.

The Lady Falcons was able gain the led and did not give it up the entire game. At the end of the first half, the Lady Falcons held a 18 point lead with a score of 33-15.

Neither team shot very well from the field as the Lady Falcons were able to shoot 35.6 percent while Pratt shot 20.8 percent. The Lady Falcons were able to gain most of their points in the paint with 58 points compared to 14 points for Pratt. The Lady Falcons was also able to force Pratt to turn the ball over 31 time while only turning the ball over 10 times.

Alexis Akridge (Freshman/Union, NJ) led all scorers with 23 points while completing her double-double with a game-high 13 rebounds. Javana Bernard(Senior/Waterbury,CT) added in 18 points to go along with 5 rebounds, six assists, and a game-high eight steals. Porsha Grayson (Senior/Merced, CA) also had a strong game, gaining a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds while also adding five assists and six steals. Christine Biggs (Sophomore/Rumford/ME) also grabbed 13 rebounds, tieing her with Akridge for the game high. Anna Bryce led Pratt with a team-high 11 points while Hannah Calderwood and Shannon Tuozzo also added in six points each.

The Lady Falsons will next be in action on Saturday in New York when they play SUNY Canton.
