Lady Falcons fall on the road to SUNY Canton Roos

Canton, NY --- The Fisher College Lady Falcons couldn't capitalize on their recent run of good fortune and fell to the SUNY Canton Roos 66-55 Saturday afternoon.  Before today's loss the Lady Falcons had won three of their previous four contests.

Fisher now sits at 6-10 on the season.

Senior Javana Bernard (Waterbury, CT) led the Lady Falcons will 18 points on 7-18 shooting. Senior Porsha Grayson (15 points) and freshman Alexis Akridge (13 points) were the only other Lady Falcons to reach double figures.

Fisher led 30-28 at the break but were outpaced 38-25 in the second 20 minutes to fall for just the 2nd time in their last five games.

SUNY Canton's advantage game on the boards, where they were able to outrebound the visting Falcons 49-33. The rebounding advantage led to a decisive 15-6 2nd chance point advantage.

The Lady Falcons return to action Tuesday January 28th when they travel to Chestnut Hill, MA to take on the Pine Manor Gators. The NCAA III - NAIA cross over matchup is scheduled for at 6:00pm tip off.
