Daniel Webster Knocks Off Fisher Falcons

Lynn, MA – Daniel Webster's Jillian Gilman turned in a tremendous 27 point 30 rebound effort to pace the Eagles to a come-from-behind 81-67 victory of the Fisher College Falcons Saturday afternoon at Fecteau-Leary Gymnasium in Lynn, Massachusetts.

Gilman went 12-of-20 from the floor and 3-for-3 from the free throw line to lead the Eagles to their 5th win on the season. The victory improves Daniel Webster to 5-10 on the season while the Falcons fall to 5-10.

Fisher led throughout the contest but a poor shooting fourth quarter allowed the visitors back in the contest. The Falcons held a 40-35 half time lead and entered the 3rd quarter leading 58-53 but scored just nine fourth quarter points as they dropped their second game in a row.

Daniel Webster also received solid efforts from Ashley England and Amanda Dargie. England finished the game with 25 points on 6-of-15 shooting while Dargie added 11 points of her own.

The Falcons were paced by Murphy and Madison Carroll. Murphy finished with a team-high 18 points on 6-of-25 shooting while Madison was 5-for-19, good for 17 points.

The Eagles outshot the Falcons 36.8% (28-76) to 28% (23-82) and held a dominating 66-49 rebounding advantage.

Fisher returns to action Wednesday January 27th when they host the College of St. Joseph's (VT). Daniel Webster is back at it on Tuesday January 26th when they host Becker College in a NECC conference tilt.
