Raiders dominate Falcons in final home game of the seaon

Lynn, MA – Rivier's Caitlyn Perry turned in a 20 point, seven rebound effort to pace the Raiders to an 83-62 victory over the Fisher College Falcons Thursday evening at Fecteau-Leary Gymnasium in Lynn, Massachusetts.

Perry went 5-of-16 from the floor and 7-for-9 from the free throw line to lead the Raiders to their 9th win on the season. The victory improves Rivier to 9-15 on the season while the Falcons fall to 7-16.

The fourth quarter showed the Falcons' desperate attempt to change the pace of the final minutes.  With the Falcons unable to capatalize in the first three quarters, the Raiders were able to run away with the 83-62 victory.

Rivier also received solid efforts from Caitlin Bulger, Rebecca DeBaldo, and Alex Trevains. Bulger finished the game with 14 points on 6-of-10 shooting while DeBaldo and Trevains added 11 points apiece.

The Falcons were paced by Murphy Carroll and Sasha Coombs. Murphy finished with a game-high 25 points on 9-of-24 shooting while Coombs was 7-for-13, good for 16 points.

The Raiders outshot the Falcons 43.1% (28-65) to 32.9% (23-70) although the Falcons outrebounded Rivier 45-44..

Fisher returns to action Thursay, February 18 when they travel to Chestnut Hill, Mass. to take on the Gators of Pine Manor College for their last game of the season.
