NEC Pushes Past Falcons 67-45

WENHAM, Mass. -- The Falcons fall to the Pilgrams of New England College (NEC) during the teams' final game of the Gordon Tip-off on Saturday afternoon.  Fisher drops to 1-2 on the season with the loss to NEC 67-45 who improve to 2-1 on the season.

NEC dominated the first half outscoring the Falcons 20-4 before a spark ignited for Fisher to push the remaining quarters.  Aliyanah McIntosh and Madison Carroll accounted for the 4 points in the first quarter.

The second quarter proved better for Fisher as they pushed to score 13 points while NEC scored 17.  McIntosh assed another 5 points and Madison Carroll 2, but Murphy Carroll, Daniela Villegas, and Skylar Robinson also added to the Falcons offense.  

At the half, the Falcons were trailing 37-17 to the Pilgrims who only shot 31.8% compared to Fishers' 38.5% during the second quarter.

Fishers' five starters combined for 12 points in the third quarter and also held NEC to 12 points.  The Falcons outshot the Pilgrims going 5-18 inside the arc while the Pilgrims shot 3-17.  

The fourth and final quarter was a nail-biter with the Pilgrims winning the quarter 18-16.  With the dominance in the first quarter, NEC secured their 67-45 victory over the Falcons.

McIntosh led the way for the Falcons scoring 13 points and grabbing 9 boards.  Madison Carroll and Robinson each added 9 points a piece with 3 and 8 rebounds, respectively.  Murphy Carroll added 8 points and 4 rebounds in the Falcons loss.

The Falcons will return to action on Tuesday, November 22 when they play host to Lesley University at the Fecteau-Leary Gymnasium at 8:00 p.m.  The women play the second game of a men's and women's double header with the men hosting Lyndon State College at 6:00 p.m.
