LYNN, Mass. -- The Fisher College women's basketball team hits the .500 mark on the season as they improve to 2-2 with an 80-68 victory over Lesley University on Tuesday, November 22.  Lesley drops to 0-3 on the season after the non-conference match-up.

A third and fourth quarter domance could not help the Lynx push past the Falcons lead in which the held the entire game.  

Jameela Olivo got the scoring started for the Falcons right off of the tip to give the Falcons a 2-0 lead.  The Falcons then took a quick 11-3 lead over the Lynx on a made layup from Aliyanah McIntosh in the first quarter.  The quarter closed with a 17-12 score in favor of Fisher.

The second quarter started off a little slow, but the Lynx were able to pull within one point with a 17-16 score with just over 8:30 left in the quarter.  Fisher then went on a 15-5 run to take a 32-21 lead over Lesley.  Olivo scored the last 7 points for the Falcons in the second quarter to close the quarter with a 39-23 score entering the half-time break.

Lesley pulled together an eight point run in the start of the third quarter to cut the Falcons' lead to 10, 41-31 with just about eight minutes left to play in the quarter.  With 3:11 left on the clock in the quarter, the Lynx pulled within five points of the Falcons with the score at 49-44, but the Falcons went on an 11-point run to go up 60-46 heading into the final quarter.

Although Lesley outscored the Falcons 22-20 in the fourth quarter, the Falcons closed out the game with a 12-point difference for a score of 80-68.

Murphy Carroll led the Falcons offense with 24 points and one rebound.  McIntosh was a large impact scoring 23 points and grabbing eight boards.  Olivo scored a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds.  Seven out of eight Falcons helped offensively netting a shot during the victory.  

The Falcons will endure over a week long break for Thanksgiving before hitting the court again on December 1.  Fisher will host Vaughn College at 5:00 p.m. in the Fecteau-Leary Gymnasium in Lynn, Mass.
