LYNN, Mass. -- With a dominating fourth quarter from the Pine Manor Gators, they came from behind to take a 92-74 victory from Fisher College on Sunday, December 4. The Falcons fall to 3-3 on the season while Pine Manor improves to 3-4.
Fisher won the tip to start the game, but the Gators took a quick 2-0 lead over the Falcons. Pine Manor held the lead until Muprhy Carroll made a 3-point shot to tie the game at 17-17. Fisher then went on a 12-point run to take a 29-17 lead over Pine Manor before they hit two free throws to close out the first quarter 29-19 in favor of the Falcons.
A minute and a half was played before either team netted a shot with Madison Carroll making a layup to increase Fishers' lead to 31-19. Although Pine Manor out scored the Falcons in the second quarter, Victoria Park hit a jumper with less than :10 on the clock to keep the Falcons lead at nine points, 47-38.
Pine Manor again prevailed and out scored the Falcons in the third quarter 22-16, but the Falcons held a slim 63-60 lead over the Gators. The fourth quarter Pine Manor dominated with 32 points against Fishers' 11 to give Pine Manor a 92-74 victory.
Madison Carroll had a total of 26 points and 4 rebounds dominating the Falcons offense. Aliyanah McIntosh helped out the Falcons adding 17 points and 8 rebounds. Other key Falcons were Murphy Carroll (11 points, 6 rebounds) and Skylar Robinson (14 points, 5 rebounds).
Three Gator players scored in the 20's with Shaquanda Middleton leading with 27 points and 7 rebounds. Erica Jones (24 points, 4 rebounds) and Shaneka Monroe (23 points, 2 rebounds) were the other two high scoring Gators. Kristina Giunta added a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds.
The Falcons will be back in action on Friday, December 9 when they travel to Colby College for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.
