LYNN, MASS. --  The Fisher College women's basketball team fell to Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I.) conference member Washington Adventist University (WAU) on Monday evening.  The Falcons drop to 9-9 on the season with the 75-59 loss, while WAU improves to 6-15.

The game started slow with the Shock only putting up one point on the board in the first minute and a half.  Fisher was able to knot the game a 4-4 on an Aliyanah McIntosh layup.  Murphy Carroll put the Falcons ahead 10-8 with four minutes left in the first quarter.  At the end of the quarter, the teams were knotted at 14 a-piece. 

 Murphy Carroll opened the second quarter with a 3-pointer to give Fisher the lead.  WAU battled back and was able to take a 21-19 lead, but not before Murphy Carroll hit another 3-pointer to put the Falcons up 22-21.  The Shock took a larger eight-point lead over the Falcons to head into the break (34-26).

WAU dominated in the third quarter outscoring the Falcons 16-8.  Heading into the final quarter, Fisher was trailing the Shock 50-34.  Much like the first quarter, the fourth quarter was evenly played with both teams scoring 25 points, however, WAU took the 75-59 victory.

Madison Carroll led the Falcons with 19 points and 3 rebounds.  Murphy Carroll added 15 points and 4 rebounds.  Sophomore Aliyanah McIntosh added a double-double scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

The Falcons will return to action on Wednesday, January 25 when they head to Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut.  Tip-off in the Freeman Athletic Center is slated for 7:00 p.m.
