Lynn, Mass. – The women's basketball team drops to .500 on the season after taking a 94-62 loss to Coast Guard Academy who improves to 3-3 on the season.
Coast Guard started the game off with a 5-0 lead, but the Falcons were able to creep up and come within one of the Bears, 8-7. Coast Guard pulled away from the Falcons and never looked back. The 1st quarter ended with the Bears up 32-16 over the Falcons.
Fisher was unable to make a huge comeback heading into halftime down 52-31. The Bears' offense continued to power over the Falcons' finishing the 3rd quarter 69-48.
The Falcons continued to battle, but their efforts were not enough, dropping the game to Coast Guard 94-62.
Madison Carroll paced the Falcons with 18 points and eight rebounds. Choon-Hee Chae (13 points, 5 rebounds) and Murphy Carroll (11 points, 4 rebounds) were other key contributors in the loss. Jill Bray and Gillian Gerton led the Bears with 18 points apiece. Gerton recorded a double-double with her 17 points and 11 rebounds.
The Falcons will return to action on Thursday, December 7 as they take on the Minutemen of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst at 7:00 p.m.
