Mix of Old and New Lead Falcons in All-Conference Awards

Boston, MA- Fisher College's Choon-Hee Chae, Madison Carroll and Murphy Carroll all been named to All-Conference teams by the Northeastern Intercollegiate Athletics Conference's Women's Basketball Coaches. Chae was also honored as Co-Freshman of the Year.

Madison Carroll, senior from Methuen, MA, was named to the NIAC First Team. Carroll started in all 28 games she played with an average of 32.8 minutes per a game. Carroll is a member of the Fisher Falcon's 1,000 point club with a current career total of 1335 points. This season she ranks in the top 40 nationally in the NAIA in six statistical categories. Currently she is 23rd in steals (76), 24th in steals per game (2.714), 31st in assists per game (4.143), 31st in points per game (17.143), 34th in total assists (116) and 38th in total scoring (480).

Murphy Carroll, senior from Methuen, MA, was named to the NIAC Second Team. Murphy started in 26 of 28 games played on the season with an average of 30.8 minutes per a game. Murphy, along with twin sister Madison, is a member of the Fisher Falcon's 1,000 point club with a total of 1626 points so far this season. Murphy has played in 100 career games, starting 96, in her four year career at Fisher. She currently ranks in the top 50 nationally in the NAIA in three categories. Ranking 13th in 3-PT Fg made per a game (3.0), 17th in total 3-PT Fg made (84) and 50th in points per a game (15.893).

Choon-Hee Chae, freshman from Kyle, TX, was named a member of the Second-Team All-Conference as well as Co-Freshman of the Year along with SUNY Delhi Freshman, Camryn McDonald. Chae started in all 28 games played on the season averaging 36.6 minutes per a game. In her first season at Fisher College Chae has scored 438 points with a field goal shooting percentage of 45.9%. Currently she ranks in the top 50 nationally in the NAIA in seven categories. She ranks 15th in assists per game (4.679), 18th in total assists (131), 33rd in 3-pt Fg made per game (2.607), 34th in Total 3-pt Fg made (73), 34th in total steals (68), 36th in steal per a game (2.429) and 48th in 3-pt Fg percentage (.397). Chae was named Co-Freshman of the year in large part because of her dual abilities on both the defensive and offensive sides of the ball.

Villa Maria was awarded four of the seven individual awards furnished out this year. Shaquana Owens was named both Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year, Coach Al Monaco was named Coach of the Year and Leah McQuiller was awarded Co-Sixth Man of the Year.
