De Sousa leads Lady Falcons to Victory over Daniel Webster

Nashua, NH – The Fisher College women's soccer team were paced by a four-goal effort from Ashley De Sousa (Hazlet, NJ) on the way to posting a 5-1 victory over host Daniel Webster in a women's soccer regional matchup Tuesday at Eagle Field.

The Falcons improved to 1-2, while DWC dropped to 0-3.

De Sousa netted two first half goals to give the visitors a 2-0 lead at the half and added her third 1:24 into the second half before Alexis Pavelock (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) put the Eagles on the board in the 68th minute with a long 30-yard boot that sailed to the top right corner for a 3-1 game.

Alicia Alex (Pepperell, Mass.) answered for the Falcons in the 81st minute and De Sousa closed out the scoring with her fourth in the 84th.

Kerry Hager (Wolcott, Conn.) made nine saves for the hosts, while Fisher net minder Kourtney Kellard (Danvers, Mass.) stopped 10 Eagles shots. Fisher finished with a 14-11 shots on goal advantage.

The Lady Falcons return to action Thursday evening at 5pm when they host NCAA DIII opponent Plymouth State University.  This will mark the Lady Falcons first home game during the 2013 season.
