Lady Falcons Clipped by Panthers, 6-0

BOSTON, MA- The Lady Panthers of Plymouth State University proved to power for the Fisher College Lady Falcons Thursday afternoon at Hormel Stadium in Medford, MA. The visitors scored six goals to earn the 6-0 non-conference victory. With the loss the Lady Falcons fall to 1-3 on the year while Plymouth State University improves to 1-1.

Plymouth State's Brittany Terra (Junior/Bristol, R.I.) opened the scoring just one minute into the game to put the Panthers ahead for good. Junior Kate Nixon (Wakefield, Mass.) doubled Plymouth State's lead to 2-0 in the 5th minute after taking advantage of a poor communication in the Fisher defense. Shannon Snively (Senior/Fremont, N.H.) scored two goals in a two minute span in what would be the final two goals of the first half, the second goal was assisted by Nixon.

With a 4-0 halftime lead, the PSU Panthers cruised through the second half and on their way to their 1st of the of 2013 campaign.  Second half goals by Seniors Laura Davis (Pelham, N.Y.) and Molly Todd (Epsom, N.H.) closed out Plymouth State's scoring on slot. Lady Falcons' Goalkeeper Kourtney Kellard (Freshman) saved a game-high eight shots in 45 minutes of action.  Fisher was outshot 32-2 by Plymouth State. The Panthers also lead the categories of shots on goal (20 to 1) and corner kicks (7 to 0) over the Lady Falcons. Fisher was able to make more saves (14 to 1) then their opponents

Plymouth State will now travel to Bridgewater State University for a 1 PM game on Saturday September 14th. The Lady Falcons will face Pine Manor College at home on September 14th, the game will start at 1 PM.
