Lady Falcons Win Second Game in a Row, First Since 2008

BOSTON, MA- The Fisher College Lady Falcons earned a 4-0 win over Pine Manor College at Medford High School in a Sunday afternoon matchup. This is Fisher's second win in a row, both against the Gators of Pine Manor.  The Lady Falcons only other back to back wins in program history came in October of 2008 with wins against Southern Vermont College and College of St. Joseph (VT).

Sophomore Ashley De Sousa (Hazlet, NJ) scored the first goal with her shot from the top of the 18 yard box after receiving a pass from fellow Sophomore Cassy Pillard (Jefferson, NH). Senior Deanna Morency (Auburn, ME) set De Sousa up with her second goal of the game, scoring from almost the same location on the field as her first goal. In the final minute of the first half Sophomore Christine Briggs (Rumford, ME) headed in the third Lady Falcons' goal off of a corner kick off the foot of De Sousa.

At halftime the Lady Falcons lead the Gators 3-0. In the Second half, De Sousa was able to complete the hat trick after she found the back of the net after a shot by Emily Smith (Sophomore/Oxford, NY) hit off the post.

Lady Falcons outshot the Gators 40-16. Senior Natasha Kopystynsky (Johnsburg, IL) saved 24 shots for Pine Manor, while Fisher's Kourtney Kellard (Freshman/Danvers, MA) made 8 saves and earned her second shutout of the year.
