Lady Falcons clipped by Southern Virginia, 7-0

BUENA VISTA, VA- Fisher College women's soccer team faced off against Southern Virginia University, losing 7-0 in the Friday afternoon at The Fields in  Buena Vista, Va.

The scoring for Southern Virginia in the 19th min when Lora Palmer found the back of the net. Palmer was able to score again a minute later to increase the lead to 2-0. Palmer added two more goals in the 24th and 81st minutes to increase her goal total for the game to four. Tatiana Monsen was able to add more two goals while Kora Jewell also added a goal and an assist for Southern Virginia.

A bright spot for Fisher was senior Deanna Morency (Auburn, ME) was able to save 15 of Southern Virginia's 22 shots on goal for the Lady Falcons.

The Lady Falcons will continue their Virginia/Washington, DC road trip on Monday October 14, 2013 when they play at 12:00 PM when they face off against Trinity (D.C.). Southern Virginia faces Salisbury on Saturday afternoon at home beginning at 2:30 p.m.
