Falcons Clip UMPI Owls, 4-2.

Boston, MA – For the first time in school history the Fisher College Falcons defeated the University of Maine – Presque Isle, 4-2, Saturday afternoon in front of a record crowd at Hormel Stadium.

The victory improves Fisher to 9-8 on the season and ensures the Falcons a .500 or better record for the first time in program history. Fisher led 1-0 on at the break on a goal by senior Alicia Alex (Pepperall, MA) before doubling their lead 10 minutes into the second half on a goal by fellow senior Kaleigh Mulligan (Winter Park, FL).

Alex's second goal of the afternoon extended Fisher's lead to 3-0 before UMPI managed to get one back. Freshman Julia Schojan (Rochester, NY) scored her 30th goal of season to extend the lead to 4-1. UMPI managed a second goal on the evening, a penalty, but it wasn't enough as the Falcons closed out the home victory.

Fisher outshot the visitors 25-15, and Paige Ciavarro (Lynnfield, MA) made seven saves for earn the victory in net.

The Falcons return to action Sunday afternoon when they travel to Hampshire College to close out the regular season.
