Seniors Shine on Senior Day 4-0

Medford, Mass. – The Fisher College Falcons took a 4-0 victory over the University of Maine at Presque Isle (UMPI) on senior day.  All four seniors made solid contributions in the victory with Julia Schojan leading the offense with a hat trick.

The Falcons improve to 11-3 on the season with the victory while the Owls fall to 1-12.

Delaney McNulty started the scoring for the Falcons after Schojan crossed a ball from the corner to the middle where McNulty headed the ball into the net.  The Falcons took the 1-0 lead.  Schojan and fellow senior Holly Lesperance worked together for the next two goals in the 18th and 36th minute to take a 3-0 lead over UMPI.

Time expired closing out the first half with the Falcons still leading 3-0 over the Owls.

The second half was still dominated by the Falcons but the third goal for Schojan came just before the end of the game giving the Falcons a 4-0 lead.  With only a few seconds left, the Falcons took a few shots, but none were able to get by the Owls goaltender.

Senior goalkeeper Paige Ciavarro took the shutout victory for her 14th shutout in her career.  Allie Lopez took the loss in net for UMPI making 19 saves and allowing 4 goals.

The Falcons will return to action on Wednesday, November 1 when they play host to Pine Manor College at Hormel Stadium in Medford, Mass.  First touch is slated for 5:00 p.m. with the game also being Fan Appreciation Day.
