Falcons Dominate Gators 9-1

Medford, Mass. – Fisher College women's soccer finished the regular season 12-3 after a 9-1 win over Pine Manor College.  The Gators drop to 3-11 after the loss Wednesday evening to the Falcons.

Julia Schojan led the offense for the Falcons with four goals and one assist in the game.  Delaney McNulty started the scoring off in the 6th minute on a pass from Amanda Santiago for a 1-0 lead.  The Falcons quickly added four more goals from Amanda Santiago and Schojan (3) to take a 5-0 lead.

Time expired with the Falcons dominating offensively with 28 shots in the first half and a 5-0 lead over the Gators.

The second half was very similar to the first half with Fisher outshining Pine Manor.  Schojan netted the first goal of the second half on a pass from McNulty to give the Falcons a quick 6-0 lead.  Wilnette Memeus then added a goal for the Falcons to take a 7-0 lead.  Santiago scored the last two goals for Fisher, one of which was off a foul at the 30-yard line.

Pine Manor couldn't let Fisher take all the fame and netted a goal in the 77th minute to cut Fisher's lead 9-1.

Senior goalkeeper Paige Ciavarro earned another victory in net for the Falcons making 8 saves while only allowing 1 goal.  Serena Goncalves took the loss for the Gators making 23 saves allowing 9 goals.

The Falcons will return to action on Saturday, November 4 when they host the NIAC Tournament.  First game will start at 12:00 p.m. with the Falcons taking on the Broncos of SUNY Delhi.  The winner of that game will play on Sunday, November 5 at 12:00 p.m. against the number one seed the University of Maine at Fort Kent.
