Medford, Mass. – The Fisher College women's soccer team earned a 4-1 victory in the NIAC semi-final game against SUNY Delhi on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons improve to 13-3 on the season while the Broncos conclude their season with a 3-11 record.
Senior forward Julia Schojan got the scoring underway with just under six minutes into the game. The Falcons took the 1-0 lead, but continued to pressure the Broncos taking 17 shots in the first half. In the 22nd minute, the Broncos Stephanie Mason knotted the game a 1-1 on a deflected ball off the goalie. The game remained tied 1-1 heading into the break.
The Falcons came out roaring in the second half. Schojan netted a goal to put the Falcons up 2-1. Delaney McNulty added a goal for the Falcons to put them up 3-1. With just four minutes left in the game, Schojan notched a hat trick in the game. The goal is Schojan's 145th career goal which ties the NAIA All-Time Record for goals.
Time expired with the Falcons taking the 4-1 victory and advancing to the NIAC final game Sunday, November 5 against the University of Maine at Fort Kent. The game will start at 3:00 p.m. after the men's finals game at 12:00 p.m.
