Double Passions Fuel Women’s Soccer Allie Colvin to Fisher College

Boston, MA- Allie Colvin has known for some time that she wanted to serve her country and enlisted in the Army at the start of this year. With a unique partnership between Fisher College's ROTC program and the Athletics department she does not have to sacrifice another love, Soccer. Fisher College is excited to welcome Allie Colvin from Niwot High School in Colorado to this year's incoming freshman class. Allie will not only be interested in studying criminal justice, but she will be training in Fisher's ROTC program and she has plans to enter the Army as a lieutenant upon graduation. "We are excited to have Colvin join our Falcon family and continue the Fisher College tradition of welcoming active and veteran military members," Athletic Director Cathy Courtney said of Colvin. Fisher has been recognized by GI Jobs Magazine as a military friendly institution for the past seven years.

During her fall 2017 campaign as a netminder, Colvin earned seven shut outs at home and helped her team claim a share of the Northern League title at Niwot High School. "We are excited to have Alexandra between the pipes for us next season. Colvin is a good athlete, she comes off her line and is a good shot blocker. She's going to be a great addition to our defense," says Head Coach Julian Crowder. Colvin will be spending her summer completing her training before joining up with her fellow Falcons as they attempt to claim the NIAC championship and secure a birth in the A.I.I. post season after competing in the championship game last season.
