The Lady Falcons Lose A Hard Fought Match To The Penn State-Harrisburg Nittany Lions, 4-2

Middletown, PA- The Lady Falcons (3-5-1) headed out west to Pennsylvania to take on the Penn State-Harrisburg Nittany Lions this afternoon (6-7-1) but came up short 4-2, despite getting on the board first early in the first half.

The 9-10 connection of Ali Mosdale(Marlborough, CT) and Delaney McNulty(Northbridge, CA) were at it again as they got the Falcons on the board first.  Mosdale took the Falcons throw in and sent it right to the feet of McNulty where she was able to beat Lions keeper Casey Albright (Wernersville, PA) to give Fisher the 1-0 lead. The Lions bounced back with three goals of their own before half time as Romina Dichio (Denville, NJ) beat Falcons keeper Alexandra Colvin(Longmont, CO) in the 35th minute, while Kaeleigh Smedley added two goals just before half time, one that slip under the cross bar, while the other on a free kick just outside the box.  Fisher took advantage from the halftime break and scored first in the first five minutes on a Will Memeus(Everett, MA) goal keeping her team within one at 3-2.  Dichio put the game out of reach in the 83rd minute when she lofted the ball over Colvin to give her team a 4-2 lead with just seven minutes remaining.  The Falcons were unable to get off another shot, losing to the Lions 4-2.

Fisher will take the field again tomorrow on a quick rest as they head to Washington Adventist for an 11am start.
