Women's Volleyball Is Nearly Perfect In Their First Win Against Pine Manor, 3-0

Chestnut Hill, MA - The Women's Volleyball team set new school records today against Pine Manor College.  Not only did they earn the win in a dominating fashion, 3-0 (25-6, 25-3, 25-4), but they did so by allowing the Gators (0-2) only 13 points in three games, while only committing three ball handling errors the entire match, both Fisher records.  The Falcons (1-2) were coming off two tough losses this past week, so were eager for a win and they proved that today with very impressive play on the court.

Freshman Chyna Carter (Avondale, AZ) continues her offensive contributions by leading all players with 12 kills to bring her season total to 44 in just three games. "She's been an awesome player front and back row.  She has really helped her team through tough situations so far this season," Coach Lau said of Chyna. Senior Natie Manalo (San Francisco, CA) was impressive from the serving line as she tallied 12 service aces to add to her team leading total of 16.  Sophomore Hermione Marcellus (Avon, MA) also had a strong service game adding three service aces of her own.  Falcons setter Lia Aime (Las Piedras, Puerto Rico), did her job again today as she added another 15 assists.  The Gators offense was led by Keisha Hadorn (Yokosuka, Japan) who had eight total attacks and a kill for her squad.

The Falcons will look to add another to the win column when they open up their home season against Lesley University on Thursday at 7pm.
