Boston, MA –All-around performances contributed to freshman Chyna Carter (Avondale, AZ) earning this week's Association of Independent Institutions' Volleyball Player of the Week award. This is her first time earning Player Of The Week, and just the second time in Falcons volleyball history that a player from Fisher was chosen. Carter, an outside hitter, paced the Falcons (1-2) both offensively and defensively this week as she leads the team with an impressive 44 kills, 144 total attacks, and 10 service aces. On the defensive side she has also contributed with 23 digs in just three matches. "She's been an awesome player front and back row. She has really helped her team through tough situations so far this season," Coach Lau said of Carter.
Chyna and her team host their first home game this Thursday vs Lesley University at 7pm after collecting their first win against Pine Manor on Sunday, 3-0.
