Volleyball Cruises Past The Gators For The Second Time This Season, 3-0

Chestnut Hill, MA- For the second time this month, the Falcons (4-6) have swept the Gators (0-8), 3-0 (25-10, 25-17, 25-8). Fisher did not trail the entire match, and look to use this momentum to the weekend.

In Set 1, the Falcons pulled out to an early 13-4 lead, but the Gators went on a 5-0 run led by Nahalia Faurot's serves to pull within four forcing Coach Lau to call a time out. The team responded and finished the set with ten straight points to take the set 25-10.

The Gators kept it close in Set 2 as the Falcons only had a three point lead halfway through the match at 10-7. But the Falcons put the pressure on and went on an 11-1 run and finished out the set 25-17.

The pressure continued in Set 3 as the Falcons won the match on 11 straight points, 25-8. Chyna Carter (Avondale, AZ) led all players with 13 kills and 9 digs, while Lia Aime (Las Piedras, Puerto Rico) and Natie Manalo (San Francisco, CA) combined for 22 assists. The team served well on the night as they combined for 15 service aces, seven for Manalo and three each for Yeryvel Catala (Gurabo, Puerto Rico) and Periya Yath (Amherst, MA)

The team heads up north for a Tri-Match this Saturday with Green Mountain and NHTI with the action starting at 1:30pm.
