Women's Volleyball: Senior Night Sweep over Salem State

BROOKLINE MASS. - Fisher College Women's Volleyball swept Salem State University in a 3-0 victory at home, with match scores of 25-18, 25-6, and 25-15. With the win, Fisher improved to 19-13, while Salem dropped to 2-20.

In the victory, Fisher was led by junior Caroline Saucier (Sarasosta, Fla.), who registered 9 kills and one solo block. Senior Mayouri Yath (Amherst, Mass.) added 7 kills, while senior Ali Tkach (Middleton, Mass.) contributed 5 kills, 3 serve ace points, and 17 digs. Senior Paola Velazquez (Caguas, Puerto Rico) finished with 11 assists, and classmate Edsyl Irizarry (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico) had a standout performance with 6 serve ace points and 21 digs.

For Salem, junior Presley Shairs (Salem, Mass.) tallied 7 kills, and sophomore Haley Phillips (Haverhill, Mass.) recorded 6 kills. Senior Eva Haralabatos (Melrose, Mass.) led with 11 assists, while junior Kailey Roche (Billerica, Mass.) posted 11 digs, and junior Ariana Barrows (Danvers, Mass.) added 10 digs.

Next up for the Falcons is a doubleheader at Mount Holyoke College on November 2nd, where they will face the hosting team and Bridgewater State University starting at 9 a.m. Salem will travel to Wellesley College for a match at 3 p.m. on the same day.
