Fisher College Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2010

Luis Lara, Class of 2008 - Lara, a native of Lawrence, MA, is one of two baseball players in the 2010 Enshrinement class. He played pitcher and shortstop for the Falcons where he excelled at both, earning Sunrise All-Conference at each position. Lara also earned NAIA Honorable Mention honors in 2006 for his work on the mound. He finished his career with a 2.93 ERA and 15 wins, both good enough for third on the Fisher All-Time list. Lara went on to play in the Cape Cod Baseball League, just the second player in Falcons history to do so, where he played for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks. Upon graduation in 2008, Lara earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management.

Thomas McGovern, Former President of Fisher College - President McGovern was the third president to be inducted into the Fisher Falcons Hall of Fame. He was instrumental in the college's joining of the Association of Independent Institutions (A.I.I), the conference that the school is in present day. President McGovern was extremely passionate about the athletic programs and was dedicated to the improvement of Fisher athletics during his tenure.

Anthony Perry, Class of 2008 -Perry,a native of Andover, MA, played all four seasons under Head Coach Scott Dulin where he became a three-time All-Conference and NAIA All-Region outfielder for the Falcons baseball team. Upon graduation, he became the first student-athlete from Fisher to sign a professional contract when he agreed to play for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs of the independent Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Perry spent two seasons in SoMD gaining valuable knowledge of the game from former Major Leaguers such as Michael Tucker, Ken Harvey and Andy Etchebarren.

A native of Andover, Massachusetts, Coach Perry spent his high school and college summers catching bullpens for the Nashua Pride (2002-2007), earning a Can-Am League Championship in 2007. While with the Pride, Perry was able to learn a great deal from former Major League manager Butch Hobson along with other former big leaguers that came through Historic Holman Stadium.

Prior to his arrival at Rivier University where he is now the current Head Coach and Sports Information Director, Perry spent three seasons as an Assistant Coach at Fisher. He helped guide his alma matter to three consecutive conference titles and three appearances in the NAIA Post-Season.

Perry still plays baseball competitively as he is a member of the 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 Yawkey Baseball League Champion, the Somerville Alibrandis. He also earned a YBL Gold Glove at Third Base in 2017.
