Boston, MA - Leadoff man, Jorge Sanchez (Caguas, PR) was chosen as this week's A.I.I. Player Of The Week. This is the first time the rookie has been chosen, and the second time in three weeks that a Falcon has been chosen for the award. In three games this week, the centerfielder batted. 667 (6 for 9) reaching bases nine times in 12 plate appearances, adding three walks to his team leading total of 20. He also added two doubles and four RBI. He was also a monster on the base paths as he swiped five bags and scored six times to help lead his team to four wins this week. In 35 games this season Sanchez is batting .405, has collected 47 hits and scored 39 runs, all good for second highest on the team behind Mitchell Lundholm.
