Volleyball Wins Third Straight Over Conference Foe Washington Adventist, 3-0

Boston, MA- The Women's Volleyball team continues to impress with another 3-0 win tonight over A.I.I. Conference opponent Washington Adventist (3-11).  This marks the Falcons (12-8) second conference win and inches them closer to a post-season opportunity.

The Falcons continue to play well, and it didn't take them long to get ahead in each set. In Game 1, an early 9-2 run put the Falcons up 15-9 and they did not look back from there. The Shock pulled within three at 22-19, but Fisher pulled it out with a service ace by Yeryvel Catala(Gurabo, Puerto Rico) to finish with a Game 1 win, 25-19.  The second set went back and forth as each team volleyed for points, and exchanging leads.  Fisher tied the game at 11-11 and did not trail the rest of the way, leading as many as six before closing it out 25-19 on back to back kills from Chyna Carter(Avondale, AZ).  The Falcons closed it out with authority as their offense proved too much for the Shock as the Falcons closed out the match with a 25-13 win.

Catala led the way offensively for the Falcons with 14 kills, while Maura Lammers(Augusta, GA) tacked on another eight and five service aces, and each added another 10 digs.  Lia Aime(Las Piedras, Puerto Rico) and Natie Manaloled the way in the setting game, each contributing with 14 assists.

Fisher looks to make it four in a row as they host their next contest back at Boston Latin Academy against Nichols College on Friday night at 7pm.
