Fisher College Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2006

Dr. Scott Fisher, Former President of Fisher College, Class of 1951 - Dr. Fisher is the second President to be enshrined into the Falcons Hall of Fame. He served as President from 1970-1980, and then again from 1986-1992. He has been an integral part of the Fisher community since graduating in 1951. Since then, he has served on the Board of Trustees and then became President of the institution. While President Christian Fisher proposed the idea of the Athletics Program, Dr. Scott Fisher saw it through. His unwavering support brought him to games all over New England and Florida, often times finding a seat in the Falcons dugout. Overall, Dr. Fisher helped Fisher see the value of the Athletics program and the lessons that are taught through sport.

 

Patrick Gaffny, Class of 2004 - Gaffny, a native of North Andover, MA, was the first ever male recruited athlete for the Falcons baseball team. He was the definition of a utility man, as he played all nine positions on the field over his four-year career. Gaffney was also a true leader in the development of the baseball team, as he was a four-year captain. He finished his career earning Sunrise All-Conference twice, while also earning NAIA All Region honors his senior season. Gaffny embodied what it meant to be a Fisher Baseball player while setting many traditions that are still upheld today. Upon graduation in 2004, Gaffny earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. 

 

Kessen Green, Class of 2004 - Green, a native of Cambridge, MA, was a four-year starter for the Falcons men's basketball team. He had opportunities to play football in Virgina, but opted to stay at Fisher. He played a huge leadership role throughout his tenure as a Falcon, serving as captain for three seasons, and leading his team to the first ever Sunrise Athletic Conference Championship in his senior season. Green led his team in rebounding each of his four seasons while also earning All-Conference honors. Upon graduation and earning his Bachelor's degree in Business Management, he also assisted with the Men's Basketball team in a coaching role for the Falcons. He said upon graduation that he wanted the opportunity to give back to the community that gave him so much over his four years.

 

Amy Goodell, Class of 2004 - Goodell was the first recruited softball player for the Falcons program, playing all four years throughout her career. She was instrumental in the development of the softball program and was extremely dedicated to both the team and Fisher, as she commuted all four years from Sanford, Maine. Goodell was both a catcher and a first baseman for the Falcons as well as serving as a captain for her squad. Her hard work and commitment helped lay the foundation for Fisher College Softball. Upon graduation in 2004, Goodell earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. 

Barbara Haggerty, Friend of the Fisher Athletics Program- Barbara was considered by many the best fan to ever support Fisher athletics. She was the mother of Hall of Famer Kyle VanOfferen, a baseball player for the Falcons, and would attend all of his games, both home and away. A native of North Andover, MA, Barbara also attended other sporting events aside from baseball to help support the other Falcons programs. After her enshrinement, the Barbara Haggerty award was created in her honor, serving as a Fan Appreciation Award to the friends and families that help support Falcons athletics.
