Fisher College Athletics Hall of Fame Awards - The Elaine McGovern Award

The Elaine McGovern Award was created in 2017 and it is presented to a Fisher College Faculty or Staff Member that exemplifies the spirit of the college and the spirit of giving back to the Fisher student community. The award in named after Elaine McGovern, the beloved wife of the late Thomas McGovern, who was a former President of Fisher College and is also a member of the Fisher College Athletics Hall of Fame. Elaine bleeds Fisher blue in every sense of the term and she attended as many games as possible, to show full support for the student-athletes along with brining gifts. She poured her heart and soul into helping make sure that the overall Fisher College student-athlete experience was as good as it could possibly be.
