Basketball: Trip of Falcons earn All-Conference honors

GWINNETT, GA. – The Continental Athletic Conference announced their basketball postseason awards this afternoon and a trio of Falcons were honored with selections to the All-Conference teams. Two members of the Women’s Basketball team were selected after finishing the season with an 8-14 record and their fourth consecutive trip to the conference tournament. One member of the Men’s Basketball team was honored after a 9-14 season and just missing the cut for the invite to the conference dance.

Women’s Basketball

Senior Misha O’Neal (Tampa, Fla.) was selected to the CAC All-Conference Second Team after another outstanding season on the floor for the Falcons. The veteran guard paced the Fisher offense all season long with a 16.8 points per game average while totaling a team high 302 points scored in 18 games played. O’Neal shot 41.2% from the field on 105-for-255 shooting and collected 111 rebounds. She also dished out 33 assists and swiped 48 steals on the year. This is O’Neal’s second appearance on the All-Conference team as she was a 2021 All-Conference Team selection a year ago.

Senior Alexia Mason (Inglewood, Calif.) was honored with a spot on the All-Conference Honorable Mention team. A 2021 All-Conference selection, Mason nearly averaged a double-double with 13.0 points per game and 9.6 rebounds per game. In total, the veteran forward pulled down a team high 211 rebounds while scoring a total of 287 points. She was 114-for-242 from the floor for a 47.1 shooting percentage over her 22 games played.

Men’s Basketball

Freshman Ke’Andre Penceal (Coram, N.Y.) was tabbed as an All-Conference Honorable Mention after a spectacular rookie campaign with the Falcons. The 6-2 combo guard/forward played in all 22 games for Fisher this season, making 18 starts and averaging 29.1 minutes per game (team high). Penceal paced the offensive attack all season long for the Falcons with 378 total points scored, 17.2 points per game, and was 148-of-315 from the field for a 47.0 shooting percentage. He led the team with 139 rebounds, a 6.3 rebound per game average, and six blocks on the defense side of the ball.
