Senior Jhalen Lumpkins Named A.I.I. Player Of The Week

Boston, MA- For the first time in his career as a Falcon, Jhalen Lumpkins (Sacramento, CA), has been named Association of Independent Institutions (AII) Player of the Week.

The senior guard continued his strong play this week, leading his team to a 3-0 week and their fourth straight win overall pushing the Falcons to 11-9. Lumpkins had season-high performances with 27 points and six steals in an 82-73 win against Villa Maria College (N.Y.) last Friday. That came in between a 20-point game in a victory against Connecticut College last Tuesday and a 19-point outing Sunday against Bryant-Stratton College of Buffalo. Lumpkins has scored in double-digits in every game this season, and now averages 19 points per game.

Over this stretch he is shooting an impressive 54% from the field (26 for 48). The senior also added 14 rebounds, nine assists and 10 steals last week, including a six-steal performance over the Villa Maria. Lumpkins ranks seventh among NAIA Division II players for total steals (45) and 10th for steals per game (2.368).
