It looked like a promising homecoming for former Falcon Anthony Perry, however the night proved otherwise as the Fisher Falcons handed the Rivier Raiders a 15-6 loss Monday night.
A 2008 graduate of Fisher College, Perry took the helm at Rivier College in August 2011.
His Raiders got off to a great start as three straight singles off Falcon's starter Ray Malagon had the Raiders threatening. John DiBeneditto hit a sacrifice fly to give the visitors a 1-0 lead.
The Falcons tied the game up at 1-1 on the bottom of the 1st when a pitch hit senior Michael Flynn while the bases were loaded.
The Falcons scored multiple runs in 5 innings on their way to their best offensive output of the 2012 season. 10 different Falcons amassed 15 hits, including two hit, two RBI nights for senior Kenny Kahle and sophomore Sammy Alejandro.
With the win Fisher improved to 6-15 while Rivier dropped to 1-14. The Falcons return to action this Thursday when former Sunrise Conference rival SUNY-Canton visits Fraser Field. Fisher has a three game series with the Roos, starting Thursday at 7pm and finishing with a Friday doubleheader starting at 4pm. The Falcons open of their American Mideast Conference schedule on Saturday when Walsh University travels to Lynn for a 4 game series.
