Falcons Roll to a 12-0 Win Over the Owls

(LYNN, MA.) Aside for the 12 run output displayed by the Falcons' offense Sunday morning at Fraser Field.  It was their pitching staff who dazzled on the mound allowing only one hit in a combined seven innings of work.  The morning's starter Raymundo Gomez was on fire earning the victory by striking out five and sitting down the side three times in his five innings of work.  Relievers Edgar Carrasco and Matt Trotta both got their first taste of live action this season and both pitched clean innings respectively to complete the combined one hit shutout.

The offense didn't wait around posting six runs in the bottom of the first highlighted by a two run double by C Josh Rodgers and  one run double by 3B Sami 'Gator' Bibovic.  The bats then got hot again in the 5th as RBI singles by SS Angel Perez-Vargas, 1B Mitch Lundholm and LF Jose Jimminez and and RBI double by RF Cameron Pearson put the game out of reach.

With the win the Falcons improve to 19-15 on the season and is set to host Pine Manor College later today at Fraser Field; first pitched scheduled at 4:00 PM.
