NORTHBOROUGH, MASS. – It was a historic afternoon for the Fisher College Baseball program as the program earned victory #500 in the spring opener for the Falcons. Fisher registered the historic milestone with a convincing 18-3 win over Anna Maria College at the New England Baseball Complex. The win sends the Falcons to a 10-1 overall record.

Head Coach Scott Dulin, who is in his 19th season at the helm of the program, has seen his program grow from its infancy to the juggernaut that it is today. Last season, Dulin surpassed 500 wins as a head coach and today was his 500th with the Fisher Baseball program.

The Falcons offense exploded for 18 runs on 21 hits this afternoon catapulted by the 3-for-6, six RBI appearance from senior Mitchell Lundholm (Plymouth, Mass.). The veteran first-baseman launched his fifth home run of season (a three-run dinger) in the team's seven-run fifth inning that essentially sealed the game for Fisher. Freshman Emanuel Rosado (Bayamon, P.R.) notched his first collegiate home run as he launched one deep over the right field fence as he finished 4-for-6 with three runs scored from the leadoff spot. Three other Falcons recorded three-hit games including junior Jonathan Rosado (Bayamon, P.R.), Cameron Pearson (Orlando, Fla.) and sophomore Ivanuel Hernandez (Caguas, P.R.).

Senior Jose Galan (Alta, P.R.) made his first start of the season and picked up the win (1-0) as he worked through five innings this afternoon. The left-hander allowed three runs (two earned) on three hits while striking 10. Sophomore Angel Alicea (Caguas, P.R.) was granted the save as he spun four scoreless innings, surrendering four hits and striking out three.

Anna Maria junior and reigning Great Northeast Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Year, Jake Marzec (Northbridge, Mass.) allowed four runs on eight hits. The right-hander also struck out six Falcons over his three innings of work. Freshman Brock Eskildsen (Muretta, Calif.) was in the middle of the seven-run fifth as a two-out error allowed the Falcons to tack on three additional runs as he was responsible for seven runs (three earned) on five hits during his 1.1 innings of work.

Offensively the AMCATS were guided by junior Jason Shell (Sandwich, Mass.), who finished the ballgame going 2-for-3 at atop of the order. Senior Adam Twitchell (Shrewsbury, Mass.) recorded a RBI while ended his day with a 1-for-3 performance and junior Noah Holland (Sandwich, Mass.) plated a run on a RBI groundout. Junior Nick Genatossio (Sutton, Mass.) also had a RBI as he went 1-for-2 in the loss for Anna Maria.

Both teams will be back at it tomorrow afternoon. The special President's Day matinee will start at 1pm right back at the New England Baseball Complex.
