WEYMOUTH, MASS. – The Fisher College Baseball team ended their week with a double-header split against Eastern Nazarene College this afternoon, winning the opener 13-7 before falling in the night cap 12-6. The split sends the Falcons to an overall record of 19-4 while the Lions remain above .500 at 6-5.

Game One: Fisher College 13, Eastern Nazarene College 7 (Final)

It took six innings before the Fisher offense awoke and when they finally did, they totaled 11 runs on 12 hits to erase a 7-2 deficit on their way to a 13-7 win.

The 15-hit barrage was paced by senior Mitchell Lundholm (Plymouth, Mass.), who finished going 3-for-5 with a RBI. Sophomore John Batista (Lawrence, Mass.) launched his third home run of the season as he went 2-for-3 with a double, homer and four RBI in the opener while freshman Emmanuel Rosado (Bayamon, Puerto Rico) also knocked in four on his 2-for-5 day at the dish. Junior Jacob Deziel (Merrimac, Mass.) connected on his first home run of the season in the third inning as he ended the day going 2-for-5 with two RBI and the homer.

Freshman starter William Carpenter (Brentwood, N.H.) allowed seven runs (six earned) on eight hits over his four innings of work. Senior Johann Doerrer (Dolgeville, N.Y.) was the unsung hero as the right-hander kept the Lions bats off the board to allow the comeback to happen. Doerrer pitched three scoreless innings and surrendered just three hits.
