OFFICAL ALL-CAC ANNOUCEMENT

Seniors Christian Dow (Rochester, N.H.), Victor Torres (Rochester, N.Y.), Nicholas Lucchese (Long Island, N.Y.), Jacob Deziel (Merrimac, Mass.), Cameron Pearson (Orlando, Fla.), and Elijah Perez (Lawrence, Mass.) all received selections to the 2022 All-CAC team after outstanding individual seasons.

Dow, a right-handed starting pitcher, was the workhorse on the mound for the Falcons. He went 7-3 in 13 games this season, accumulating 79.2 inning pitched and a 3.95 earned run average. The veteran also struck out 55 batters and walked 19 while opponents hit .247 against him. Dow's biggest win of the year came on March 6th when he tossed a nine-inning complete game in the team's 3-2 triumph over then #1 Georgia Gwinnett. He allowed only four hits as he limited the defending national champions to just two runs. That was one of three complete game efforts from Dow on the season and he was named the CAC Pitcher of the Week for his brilliant work. He would then earn the CAC Pitcher of the Week again after throwing a complete game two-hit shutout over Northern Vermont University – Lyndon.

Torres had himself a stellar senior campaign as the shortstop played in 45 games and earned his second All-Conference selection. The Rochester, New York native batted .303 on the year with 47 hits and swiping 21 of 22 stolen bases. Torres also scored 33 runs while smashing eight extra base hits and recording a .351 on-base percentage. He made all but one of his starts at shortstop on the season as he was the designated hitter in just one game started.

A first time All-Conference selection, Lucchese finished runner up for CAC Player of the Year after a tremendous senior campaign. The everyday third baseman played in 56 of the team's 57 games this season leading the ball club in almost every offensive category. Lucchese batted an even .400 with a team-high 72 hits, 23 extra-base hits, and 61 runs batted in. He accumulated a .800 slugging percentage to go along with his .400 on-base percentage and stole 13 bases in 17 attempts. Defensively, Lucchese committed only 6 errors in 184 total chances for a .967 fielding percentage. He was named the CAC Player of the Week on February 28th after a stellar start to the season.

A two-time All-Conference selection, Deziel was the super utility player for the Falcons all year. He played in all 57 games to date and made starts at six different positions – second base (19), third base (1), shortstop (13), left field (2), center field (4), and right field (18). The veteran batted .320 on the year with 58 hits and 50 runs scored while leading the team with 34 stolen bases. Deziel also recorded 22 extra base hits, including three home runs, and knocked in 30 RBI. He also led the team in hit by pitch (15) and walks (34) as he finished with a .459 on-base percentage.

Pearson, a two-time All-Conference selection, was the everyday first baseman for the Falcons in 2022. The Orlando, Florida native played in all 57 games and batted .304 with 58 hits in 191 at-bats and plating 31 RBIs. The left-handing hitting infielder also notched ten extra base hits, scored 31 runs and earned 25 walks on the year with a .393 on-base percentage. Pearson committed just eight errors in 445 total chances for a .982 fielding percentage.

Rounding out the group of six is Elijah Perez, who was selected as an All-Conference Honorable Mention. Perez seized his opportunity this season and ran with it as the Lawrence, Massachusetts native batted .342 with 50 hits in 146 at-bats after appearing 52 games and 49 games started. The right-handed hitting outfielder collected 18 extra base hits, including two home runs, and knocked in 29 RBI. He recorded an on-base percentage of .442 while slugging at .521 and scoring 39 runs. Perez was also versatile as he made the majority of his 49 starts in right field (26) but also appeared at second base (18), shortstop (1), and designated hitter (4). He compiled a .929 fielding percentage with only eight errors in 113 total chances.
