LAWRENCEVILLE, GA. – The Continental Athletic Conference announced earlier this morning that Fisher College junior Ivanuel Hernandez (Caguas, Puerto Rico) was selected as the CAC Baseball Hitter of the Week. This is the first time that a Fisher Falcon has been awarded the weekly honor in 2023 and this is also the first time that Hernandez has been honored.

The Caguas, Puerto Rico native guided the Falcons offense to a pair of wins on the two-game week. The triumphs occurred yesterday against Bryant & Stratton College – Syracuse at the New England Baseball Complex in Northborough, Massachusetts. The left-handed swinging Hernandez, belted a 3-run home run as he went 3-for-4 with four RBI in the team's 17-1 game one victory. He followed that performance by going 2-for-4 with another 3-run home run in game two while also helping to catch a combined no-hitter for the Falcons.

Across the two games, Hernandez batted .625 with a .667 on-base percentage and a 1.625 slugging percentage. He was a combined 5-for-8 with four extra base hits, seven runs batted in and a walk while scoring four runs.

The Falcons will return to action this upcoming Friday as they begin their annual trip south. First stop will be at Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee for a split double-header between the hosts and Indiana Tech.
